Halloween Classroom Parties

Lia and Jaxon both had Halloween parties in their classrooms - good times! :)

Jaxon's cute class all together! :)

Skate Night

Every month the elementary school has a skate night at the local roller rink. In October the PTO was in charge of a skate night costume contest - so i took Lia and Jaxon and we hit skate night for the 1st time. Lia does pretty well on the rental roller skates - but would like a pair of Rollerblades this spring. For Jaxon roller skating is not an option with his neck and head - so he played a bunch of arcade games with his friends, which turned out fine because frankly none of the 1st graders were good skaters anyway. It was fun night, there were some great costumes, we had several categories so that we could hand out as many prizes as possible! :)

Lia's Baptism Day

Lia was baptized on the 16th of October. It was such a great day for all of us. We were fortunate enough to have both sets of grandparents, my sister Jennifer and Tyler's sister Kiley ...and lots of friends and neighbors join us for this special day. We love Lia so much, she is such a special girl, it's hard to believe she is 8.
Here are some pictures - Her baptism was in the afternoon, then we had treats at the church with friends and went to dinner with our families.
Congratualtions Lia - we LOVE you!

grandpa's b-day, apple picking

Jim, Kathy and Kiley came into town on grandpa Jim's birthday (Oct.14th). We went out to eat to celebrate and gave grandpa some new Packers gear. The day after that we took them apple picking at one of our favorite orchards. It was so fun to have them here, even for a short time.
