birthday festivities for Jax

The night before Jaxon's B-day, he wanted to grill hamburgers for dinner...and then open presents from us and his grandparents. So - we did just that.

checking out the new Legos and wearing his new Green Bay hat :)
Maggie showing off the lego racers
and of course dad helping with legos.....because half the time mom can't figure them out
hooray for dad
on his actual b-day the kids had a half day of school so i picked them up and took them to McDonald's for lunch....when we came home there was a surprise package on the step for Jax...thanks so much to the sweet little elf that left it there.
still wearing the b-day crown from school - so cute..
he was thrilled with the new football game
and then - it was time to party at chuck-e-cheese on Saturday
he invited a bunch of boys from school
oh - and his sisters, because that wasn't optional :)

they went over well..
and for the grand finale he got to stand in the ticket blowing tube thing.....
you get to keep as many tickets as you can grab, or get stuck to your clothes, crown etc.
i love the safety goggles and the ultra tucked shirt
and then of course a few more games
all in all i think he had a great 6th birthday! :)
We love you Jax!

brand new

Jaxon celebrated his 6th birthday at the end of April. We had a great time partying with him. He is such a sweet boy... that's truly the best word to describe him. He is soft spoken and kind ....with a lot of crazy little boy mixed in. He is feeling great at the moment, which we could not be more thrilled about. He's had an awesome kindergarten year. He has an amazing teacher that he adores and lots of fun new friends. He has grown up so much this year. He is reading and writing - and is excited to be a big first grader next year. We love you so much Jaxon - you are the sweetest son and brother anyone could ask for! :)

a party for the princess

Maggie had her 1st birthday party with friends this year. We had great fun getting ready to have these cute girls over. To our shock she requested a princess theme :)

so Mom made a cake...
making this was ridiculously fun -
maybe little girls never get over liking things that are pink and glittery

decorated a bit..
made some gifts for our guests..
gave the birthday girl a new crown for her special day..

it went over well :)
do you love jaxon in the background....brothers - what can you do?

and then the party started -
Maggie loved opening gifts from her friends - they obviously know her well, she loved everything! look at these royal beauties (aren't they so sweet )
more present opening
i love this picture...tongue out, practically salivating over that box of glittery shoes from her friend Ruby

hugs from her friend Elin
and finally time to dig into that cake
happy girl! :)

that evening we opened presents from the family and made Maggie Fettucine Alfredo -
which is by far her favorite dinner

Here she is huggin a new Orange Blossom doll
and playing with some new princesses
Happy Birthday Maggie Lynn - you steal all of our hearts :)
