v-day and other random pics

i thought I would post about valentines day..and do a bit of journaling about February thus far
lia and jaxon took valentines to school and had class parties the Thursday and Friday before valentines day. i didn't do much to help with the parties this time except for bring dairy queen popcorn for lia's class (people around here go nuts over dairy queen popcorn...which sort of tastes like regular popcorn...ty and i can't quite figure out the big attraction, it's funny)-
for valentines lia chose high school musical designs, and jax TMNT - not a big shocker
we threw some Hershey's kisses and hugs in them - and they were ready to rock

here's lia and i hard at work. i really hate this picture of myself...could I look like more of a stressed out mom? scary

our valentines day was not hugely eventful but we did a few things in an effort to be festive...

on Saturday morning we kicked they day off with some heart shaped pancakes and some small v-day gifts for the kids. nothing fancy, but they seemed to enjoy it. after that we went to the mall, ate lunch, let the kids play on the toys and looked in a few stores. tyler and i haven't gone on our date yet (we have plans for this weekend). that evening we did watch a movie and bust out some chocolate dipped strawberries and sparkling cider (who was it that said their kids call it apple sprite?? one of my cousins...cute).
morning maggie!

yum..

in other news..

lia was visited by the tooth fairy again recently and is now missing one of her top front teeth. the one next to it should fall out any day now and she will have a BIG hole in front - CUTE!
we snapped these pics of maggie snoozing on the lovesac after a long day of running errands with mom...still carrying Dora everywhere she goes you will notice.

we took another trip to Monkey Joe's after school one day to let the kids do a bit of running. here are a few pics of the kids playing.
here's lia enjoying the ginormous slide....i should mention that Maggie went down it by herself as well. :) Crazy Girl!

she looks so tiny by monkey joe
jax with the classic forced smile...thank you jenn for sending us Ethan's old belt. he loves it and never leaves the house without it.
slurping a slushieand smiling for mom
more slidin'
and to end with just a cute shot i took of ty reading to lia

A big thanks from the grandparents. We look forward to seeing our grandchidren even if it is only via the blog much of the time. Remind me why you live in Wisconsin??? Some days.....

Right now I am doing a count down for some up close and personal time with the kids - and of course their parents too!
