teacher appreciation week went well this year, but as always it's a lot of work -
the staff seemed to enjoy what we had planned, so if you ever find yourself in charge of this event at your kiddos school here's a few ideas -
you know your in trouble when your living room looks like this at 2am however....
probably should have started a bit earlier in the day
chocolate bouquets with notes to each teacher from their students and the students families

posters hung in the cafeteria with messages from the students about why they love their teacher

my cute helper in the corner :)

day 4:
we played guess the mystery teacher.
clues about the mystery teacher were placed on poster board around the school - and students dropped their answers in a box by the office.
at the end of the day the first 5 correct student answers pulled from the box won a prize....
day 5:
homemade tamale lunch for the staff - courtesy of my friend veronica - such a rare treat, they were thrilled.
also on Friday each teacher received a gift certificate to Zuppa's (local restaurant - so yummy!)
