fun with the kings - summer 2010

we spent the first part of our vacation with the King family.

Kathy (ty's mom) was nice enough to have everyone over to dinner at her house.

When I say everyone ty's grandparents, siblings, aunt uncles......it's a serious amount of people. It was great fun and so nice of Jim and Kathy to host.

the next day we were all supposed to go boating...

but Jaxon woke up at five AM screaming about pain in his leg. he was in so much pain we couldn't move him to the car so we had to call an ambulance to transport him to Davis hospital in Layton. after a visit in the ER we found out he had transient synovitis of the hip. nothing that was really going to cause him and long term problems and nothing related to his head. they told us the intense pain would pass after 24 hours but he would probably pretty miserable for the day. they gave him some morphine and admitted him to the hospital. let's just say this...we spent the entire day and night in the hospital and it is not a 24 hrs. i want to relive. jax was in so much pain he laid stiff as a board all day completely miserable, it was yucky. In the morning he was able to sit up and after a while he was able to use the bathroom and they told us we could take him back to my mom's house.

Lia still went boating with the King's - she had a fantastic time on Kim and Shad's boat. She absolutely loved being out on the water and still talks about it! :) Thank yo to ty's sibling for taking care of her and to Chad and Ali for having her that night. maggie spent the day with my mom being doted on by grandma lynn which she enjoyed as well. I'm glad the girls had some fun with their family while we were taking care of Jaxon. What can I say about my Jax...of all the kids that don't deserve any more hospital time...and on vacation no less.

he was a trooper through the whole thing - bless his heart.

Lia and aunt Katie on the tube my boating girl! :) the day jax got released from the hospital was our annual King Family Lagoon trip - he was dying to go so me took him. He rode a few tame rides with his cousin Tate - ate dinner with the fam and dad won him some prizes. so at least he had a pretty good time. Ty got his workout carryinf him around the whole time - because his legs were still sore. Lia went down early with her cousins/aunts and uncles - we hardly saw her the entire day. she rode everything and had a great time. maggie had great fun on the kiddie rides this year.
